Girard Perregaux Laureato Fifty 39mm Watch 81008-63-3412-1CM

Since its launch in 1975, the Laureato collection has evolved over half a century; marking the brand's 50th anniversary, the Laureato 50th Anniversary Edition (Ref. 81008-63-3412-1CM) introduces significant updates.

The Girard-Perregaux Laureato 81008-63-3412-1CM features a 39mm case and a two-tone design combining gold and stainless steel—a nod to the original Laureato model introduced in 1975. While the watch sports the signature octagonal bezel, its execution is notably intricate: the octagonal upper bezel sits atop a circular base, with the combined assembly integrated into the case. The detailing further highlights this complexity and luxury, featuring extensive satin-brushed finishing on the octagonal upper section, contrasted by polished edges and a polished circular base.

The sunray-finished grey dial features a *Clous de Paris* pattern, creating a look that is instantly classic and sophisticated. For this new Laureato collection, Girard-Perregaux has introduced newly designed three-dimensional indices and hands; crafted from 3N gold, they feature enhanced finishing that accentuates their depth. The hour and minute hands, as well as the indices, are coated with white luminescent material.

The date window at 3 o'clock utilizes a color-matched date disc, and the brand logo beneath the 12 o'clock position omits the classic "GP" initials, resulting in a dial layout that appears uncluttered. With a thickness of 9.8 mm, the watch is slimmer than its predecessor, offering improved wearing comfort. An exhibition case back reveals the newly launched GP4800 automatic movement, which operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, offers a 55-hour power reserve, and incorporates a silicon escapement.
