Oris' mission is "Change for the Better". To achieve this mission, we proudly announce that Oris has achieved climate neutrality, and through cooperation with ClimatePartner, Oris will release its first sustainability report in 2022. At the same time, Oris continues to pay attention to the ocean and supports environmental organizations by launching limited edition watches. This year, Oris will launch the Aquis Upcycle date watch. It belongs to Oris' high-performance diving watch series. The bezel is made of recycled PET plastic https://www.copwatchalike.co.
By showing people that plastic has been recycled and "upcycle" has become a part of the art of luxury watches, Oris hopes to encourage people all over the world to participate in World Clean Day activities. Oris has been organizing World Clean Day events together with global partners and suppliers for several years. Picking up rubbish, reducing the amount of waste, etc., all make us a joint responsibility. Only through education and publicity and everyone’s efforts can we ensure that future generations can enjoy a clean ocean.
The watch has two sizes of 41.5mm and 36.5mm. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the recycling process of PET plastic makes the produced plastic sheets have different colors and textures, that is, the dial of each watch is unique. Both sizes of watches will not be produced in limited quantities. As long as there is demand, we will continue to produce them. Oris hopes that everyone will enthusiastically buy our Aquis Upcycle calendar watch. Together with Oris, we will use our daily actions to prevent the crisis of marine plastic waste.
Except for the dial, this watch has the same structure as the well-known Aquis series 41.5mm and 36.5mm calendar watches. Both watches are equipped with a stainless steel case and a unidirectional rotating diving bezel, as well as a scratch-resistant gray ceramic bezel scale. They are also equipped with stainless steel straps, buckle extensions, crown protectors, screw-in crowns and Swiss-made automatic mechanical movements.
